Minister: Joel Sherbino
Joel came to Paris Presbyterian Church with his family in June 2006. Before arriving in Paris, Joel along with his family were living in Malawi, Africa, where for three years Joel was serving as the Associate Pastor at St. Columba (Church of Central Africa Presbyterian). He is married to Rebecca and they are the proud parents of Isaac, Masika and Canaan. Aside from family and church Joel enjoys playing hockey, barbequing, eating nachos and cheering for the New York Islanders.
Organist: Shirley Hutty
Shirley has been serving in the Music Department at Paris Presbyterian Church as Organist and Choir Director since July 2008. On completing Grade 10 Honours diploma (piano) with the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, she began to use her music talents in both the church and secular worlds. The art of playing music has always been most rewarding and fulfilling for Shirley. As David said, "I will play musicbefore the Lord," 2 Samuel.
Worship Coordinator: Chuck Milke
Chuck Milke’s passion for music has taken him from serving for ten years as Director of Music Studies at Northwest Bible College in Edmonton to several large church settings as Music Minister. Chuck’s desire to stretch and grow people for more effective ministry has been his signature trait. His desire to be relevant for the sake of today’s young people and families while still respecting tradition is the reason why he is versatile in many different music genre’s. When relaxing at the piano, his preferred style is jazz. He and his wife, Linda, have been married for 39 years and they have one grown son who lives in Abbotsford, BC.
Youth Ministry Co-ordinator: Brian Lima
Brian is responsible for planning and developing events for Junior and Senior High aged youth. Brian moved to Ontario in September 2009 from Boston to pursue a PhD at McMaster Divinity School and to begin the ordination process with the Presbyterian Church. Brian has served in ministry in Hawaii (with Campus Crusade for Christ), in Japan (as a missionary and English teacher for four years), and most recently in Boston, MA (interning at Park St. Church). He is engaged to Joanna who serves with the mission agency Pioneers, and has just returned from eleven years of ministry in East Asia.
Children's Ministry Co-ordinator: Stephanie Nolson
Stephanie is responsible for curriculum as well as other activities for Sunday school aged children grades JK to 6.
Secretary/Treasurer: Silvia Rudy
Sylvia manages the church office during the hours of 9 am to 1 pm Tuesday through Friday and from 2 pm to 5 pm on Thursday. She also compiles the bulletin and newsletters.
